• Theatre Teaching Artist: Dawne Seifert
Dawne Seifert had a unique childhood, growing up on her family's 200-year-old dairy farm in rural Springtown, PA. She has over 25 years of professional acting experience on stage, TV, film, voice over and radio. Featured in such prominent publications at The New York Times, The Wall St. Journal, Variety, BackStage and The Village Voice. Dawne is a two-time recipient of the New York Fringe Festival's "Excellance Award".
As a teaching artist, Dawne has served as Head Teacher for such programs as OASIS in New York City, Hackley School in Tarrytown, NY, Vorhees Summer Camp in NJ, White Plains Middle School, and Pennsylvania Youth Theatre. Her storytelling workshop, Page to Stage has been presented at schools, summer camps and community centers throughout the Eastern United States. Dawne is a performer and also a teaching artist with Pennsylvania Youth Theatre, presenting PYT's Curtains Up for Reading to Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms as an artist-in-residence in the PASELA project.
